A Lovely Weekend (in spite of the cows)

The feed lot was set up over the winter just southeast of our property. While the cattle have moved off to, literally, greener pastures, the adjacent feed lot hasn't quite dried out yet. The first weekend in April brought nice warm temperatures and so for about one day we sniffed the sale barn. By Sunday we were in the clear.

With mulching and mowing done we turned to the sorts of chores normally at the bottom of the list. I repaired some screen doors.

We have the plastic down in the greenhouse earlier than ever. I had forgotten that I pulled out the shade cloth last fall to make repairs. That was done using a standard stapler - we'll see how long it lasts - and the shade cloth put back up. The greenhouse looks so much better in the summer.

Sunday brought a peaceful but not overly colorful sunrise which I got on time lapse.

It was a lovely weekend in spite of the cows.
